......And Baby Makes 4
Well, as everyone probably knows by now, we are expecting baby #2! Our new addition will be arriving mid November. It's been a crazy few months as we've settled into this news and begun preparing ourselves for what this change will mean for our little family. We are super excited and also very nervous, as expected. But let's go back a little bit!
In early March we went up to New York for a quick trip to visit Bart's cousins, Peter and Barbara. It was Peter's 50th birthday and we flew up to surprise him during the awesome party that Barbara had put together. Bart's friends from Poland also flew in for the surprise and we had no idea they would be there either! It turned into quite the crazy bash with a house full of Pollacks partying well into the wee hours of the morning. I was exhausted and not feeling my best, largely contributing to the gut feeling I had that I was pregnant. It was a quick, fun trip and we definitely returned in worse shape than when we left - a sign of a good party! Thanks for having us, Petbar!
When we got back, we only had a couple of weeks of down time before it was off to California for Easter. During this down time we confirmed our pregnancy and begun to share the news with very close family. We also took some family sunrise photos at the beach to commemorate the news! Gracie was less than thrilled about that little photo session but luckily our awesome photographer managed to score some gems. Shortly after that, I flew out to California with Gracie with the plan for Bart to join us later in the week. It was such a fun trip filled with plenty of quality family time. We stayed with the Roblees in their gorgeous new home which was so fun because Gracie got to have adequate play time with her cousins, something I'm sad doesn't get to happen more often. Easter was an absolutely PERFECT day. The weather, the people, the food.....everything. It was what I miss about California all wrapped up into one perfect day. Gracie even surprised me by getting super involved in the Easter egg hunt! She was all about finding those eggs and putting them in her little basket. It made my heart happy!
Shortly after Easter it was back to Florida for the Rogowskis. Aside from the normal day to day, we had some fun outings! Erica, Gracie, and I went up to Gainesville for the NHRA drag races. Gracie had her first top fuel experience which was pretty hilarious. She didn't seem to be bothered one bit by the deafening, organ rattling, sound of the cars as they went down the track, and we were even right up against the fence! She definitely has Nocita in her blood. Bart has also been continuing with his CCS races as well as plenty of track days. We were able to join him for one of his races at Daytona Speedway which is always so fun. It's such a fun track and having it close by makes it nice and simple to get to.
As if all of this wasn't enough to keep us busy, Erica joined me this season for the CFCArts spring show! This year the theme was Disney and we had so much fun together over the course of the 3 months going to choir rehearsal together every Monday night, learning our music, and spending quality time together. I was SO hoping Erica would be bit by the CFCArts bug and see why I love it so much and luckily, she totally fell in love! It made me so happy having her a part of the season and Mom and Dad were even able to come out for the show! They wrapped up their big cross country RV trip with a stop here in Deland and stayed with us for a week. AJ and Nikki were even able to come out for 2 days and join them for the show. Having Mom and Dad here is always such a treat, especially for Gracie getting to have time with GammaGampa. I get so sad over how little she sees any of her family, so those times are very precious to me. They were also a HUGE help as I was feeling pretty bogged down by morning sickness. The first trimester sickness hit me much later this time around - it didn't show up until 10 weeks! And it only lasted about a month. But it hit me even harder than it did with Gracie. So having their help around the house and with Gracie was so needed. They also brought several 20-30 year old bottles of wine from their cellar at 601 that we were able to enjoy over home cooked meals by Mom. Even with the nausea, I was able to partake in much of the deliciousness! The timing worked out so well too in that we were able to celebrate Mother's day with Mom and Dad's birthday. :)
Well, aside from that, it's been life as usual! Gracie is growing daily, surprising us more and more with her new personality quirks, her unique, Vietnamese inspired language, and general zest for life. Even with her "terrible two-ness," she is such a good-natured kid, always keeping us laughing with her wild antics. I'm trying to soak her up as much as I can knowing that I only have a few more precious months with her as my only child. She recently started her Infant Swim Rescue course again and next week begins dance classes as well. We've been able to hear our new baby's heartbeat a couple of times and I recently began feeling the early flutters in my belly. Gracie doesn't quite understand what is going on but she regularly laughs at my growing belly and makes sure to periodically give it a (not so) loving sucker punch when I'm least expecting it. Business is booming and Erica continues to be an incredible asset to our growing company. It's been a stressful busy season but we're making it happen!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful spring and is as eager for Summer as we are. Enjoy some pictures from the last few months. Believe it or not, I pared them down!

Gracie playing with her buddy, Peighton.
We opened up a 1986 Chateau de Beaucastel from Mom and Dad that we have been saving to open until we got pregnant. I think we had been storing it for 2 years...Mom and Dad obviously had it much longer!
SISTERS! Rowing class.
Gracie at the drags!
Just a little kielbasa for the plane ride.
Erica and Bart cooked a delicious brunch for Mother's Day.
We lost an employee recently so we put Dad to work at TST on a busy Monday morning!
Listening to the baby's heartbeat with Gracie...in front of a picture of our midwife holding Gracie the day she was born. Very special!
